Kings lose to Jazz 122-101 with lackluster effort

Boy, that one was sure an ugly one.

The Kings lost the to Utah Jazz 122-101.  Yes, those Utah Jazz.  Yes, the game was in Sacramento.  Nope, it wasn't a back to back.  No, the score doesn't misrepresent the game.

The only reasonable excuse to be made for this game is that the Kings were once again short handed.  Greivis Vasquez had visa issues, delaying his physical with the Toronto Raptors.  Because of the delay, the Kings were without Rudy Gay, Quincy Acy, and Aaron Gray.

Ultimately, though, the Kings were without effort.  The Kings came out without the spark that they demonstrated in Monday's game.  In fact, this was pretty much the opposite of Monday in every conceivable way.

DeMarcus Cousins and Isaiah Thomas were the only Kings who really seemed to show up ready to play.  Even Cousins started slow, though.  Cousins finished with 21 points and 11 rebounds.  Isaiah finished with 20 points and seven assists.

Akis will have a full recap tomorrow.  In the meantime, let's argue about what went wrong.  Rabble rabble rabble!
