Rudy Gay has been balling for the Kings, but he'll be sidelined for at least a little while.
Sacramento Kings forward Rudy Gayinjured his achilles tendon on Wednesday against the Houston Rockets and an MRI on Thursday revealed it is a strain, via Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski:
An MRI reveals a sprain for Rudy Gay, league source tells Yahoo. He'll be in a walking boot for 3-to-5 days, then re-evaluated.

With Rudy Gay, it should've read, "strain,' not "sprain."

The injury came one day after Gay dropped 41 points on 16-for-25 shooting in a win over the New Orleans Hornets. It happened in the first quarter:
Gay has been excellent since the Kings acquired him from the Toronto Raptors, averaging 20.1 points and 4.8 rebounds and shooting 52.3 percent from the field in 21 games, including his six-minute stint on Wednesday.
With Gay out of the lineup, Sacramento will likely give more minutes and touches to forward Derrick Williams and guard Ben McLemore. Williams managed 22 points and 11 rebounds against Houston.
Kings center DeMarcus Cousins also left the game early on Wednesday with a sprained left ankle and is day-to-day, via Cowbell Kingdom's Jon Santiago.
