Pacers Links: Kings on a roll, ready for rested Pacers

After altering their roster and seeing some player leadership emerge, the Sacramento Kings face the Pacers tonight in far better shape than their record indicates.

The Sacramento Kings shook up their season by trading for Rudy Gay and Derrick Williams, two talented players who have struggled find team success in the NBA. Gay has always been able to put up numbers but it didn't translate to enough winning in Memphis and Toronto. Williams didn't even up put numbers in Minnesota compared to his lofty draft status as a dynamic wing coming out of Arizona.

Now the two are part of a Kings playing rotation that is supplementing All-Star play from DeMarcus Cousins and strong point guard production from Isaiah Thomas. The Kings are finding success of late, which coincides with a players' only meeting. In the past couple of weeks, the Kings have beaten Miami, Houston and Portland and arrive at the Fieldhouse after winning their last three games. That includes a 124-80 demolition of the Cleveland Cavaliers in their last game.

Fortunately, the Pacers have been off for three days soaking up all of this info on the new-look Kings so they should have a plan of attack ready to go to slow down the visitors. The Kings will no doubt be up for the chance to test their new winning formula against the top team in the East. Should be a fun one!
