ESPN has been counting down players in their NBA Rank exercise. The rankings are determined by a poll of over 100 writers and bloggers from ESPN and ESPN TrueHoop Affiliates (including friend of StR, Cowbell Kingdom's James Ham).
DeMarcus Cousins' ranking was announced today, ranking as the 42nd best player in the NBA. This is a jump from being ranked 82nd last year. You can find the list of all Kings players here.
Cousins was ranked ahead of big men like Amare Stoudamire, Andrew Bogut, and Greg Monroe.
NBA Rank started last season during the NBA lockout, but Cousins' ranking is the highest a Kings player has been rated. Tyreke Evans was ranked 47 last year, but slid to 69 this year.
Also of note, Isaiah Thomas had the second biggest year-over-year jump, going from 464 last year to 150 this year (which still seems a little low to me). Only Jeremy Lin had a bigger jump.
