The Kings are getting closer and closer to naming George Karl their new head coach, per multiple reports. Karl would likely take over the team at some point during the All-Star break, but after the following two road games in Chicago and Milwaukee. That would give Karl a few days to get acquainted with the team and get some practices in before what will likely be his first game on Feb. 20th at home against Boston. Karl is also planning on attending legendary North Carolina coach Dean Smith's funeral this week and would be unavailable to take over the team until after the break anyway.
No final decision on Karl has been made as of yet according to Yahoo's Marc Spears.
