Sacramento and Brooklyn are wrapping up their preseason tour of China with a visit to the nation's capital.
Sacramento is wrapping up their trip to China early tomorrow morning our time as they take on the Brooklyn Nets in Beijing before heading back to Sacramento. Sacramento lost their first match by just a bucket and will look to bounce back from a poor shooting performance.
The game is at 4:30 AM Pacific Time on Wednesday Morning and will be airing on NBA TV and KHTK 1140. The game will also be re-airing on NBA TV at 11:30 AM in case you don't feel like being up super early to watch a meaningless exhibition game. If you are up though, we will still be having a game thread.
3 THINGS TO LOOK FOR
1. Rudy Gay has yet to look really comfortable this preseason. Perhaps it's because he's a little tired from his work with Team USA this summer, or perhaps it's simply an adjustment to playing at a lighter weight. He's still been getting some good looks that haven't fallen in, so my hope is that he can round back into form by the time the season starts.
2. The Kings have yet to run the same starting lineup two games in a row as Coach Michael Malone usually waits for the last couple preseason games to run his actual projected starters. I think it's a good bet that we'll see Ramon Sessions and Nik Stauskas start tonight after Darren Collison and Ben McLemore got the call in Shanghai. At Power Forward it will probably be Reggie Evans over Jason Thompson, as Coach Malone seemingly prefers Carl Landry to be coming off the bench.
3. DeMarcus Cousins has come out lackadaisical in each preseason game so far. I don't think a game has gone by yet where Cousins hasn't picked up two early fouls and sat out most of the rest of the half. I'd like to see him come out of the gates with the same energy he's been giving after halftime.
