The Kings couldn't take care of the basketball, turning it over 27 times on their way to losing the first preseason game of the year.

The Sacramento Kings lost their first preseason game against the Toronto Raptors despite taking a 7 point lead heading into the fourth quarter.  The Kings were very careless with the basketball, committing a whopping 27 turnovers to just 18 assists.  Nik Stauskas, Ramon Sessions, DeMarcus Cousins and Jason Thompson combined for 18 of those turnovers.

DeMar DeRozan led the game with 21 points on 7-16 shooting but it was Lou Williams and Greivis Vasquez who led the charge in the fourth quarter to win Toronto the game.  Williams finished with 12 points, most of which came in the fourth quarter, and Vasquez nearly had a double-double with 9 points and 8 assists in just 23 minutes.

The Kings were led by 14 points from Ramon Sessions off the bench.  DeMarcus Cousins and Darren Collison both chipped in 13 points and rookie Nik Stauskas chipped in 12 to round out Sacramento's double digit scorers.  Rudy Gay had 9 points but shot just 3-11 from the field.

The Kings took control of the game in the 3rd quarter thanks to a strong performance by DeMarcus Cousins, but that lead quickly disappeared in the fourth as Toronto's bench played with far more familiarity and effectiveness than Sacramento's.

The Kings will head back home now to face the Raptors in a rematch at Sleep Train Arena on Tuesday.  As a reminder, if you were able to attend the game in Toronto today, please feel free to share your observations of the team either in the comments or in a FanPost.
